THROW A MAD MEN PARTY

Throwing a Mad Men party will have your friends talking about you well into the New Year. You might not be the most original person they know, but you’ll certainly be the one that gives the “A-OK” to misogyny and martinis (which is all anyone really cares about during the holidays, anyway).

What to Serve:

Oysters
Shrimp Cocktail
Tea Sandwiches like Cucumber Salmon and Dill

Bacon-wrapped filet mignon, served with sides of Creamed Spinach and Potato au Gratin.

Plenty of Martinis and Scotch on hand!

What to Wear:
Men – Dress like an ad man! Wear a classy suit, a tie clip and a fedora if you’ve got the stones for it. Extra points for having a cigarette or cocktal in your hands at all times.

Women – If you’re a Betty, wear floral print dresses with sweetheart necklines and some sexy touches like pearls. If you’re more of a Joan, wear a tight-fitting mermaid style dress.

The Décor:

Nothing too fancy. Dark lighting and if you can find some 60’s style lamps, you’ll be all set.

The Entertainment:
Men should be at their misogynistic best and the ladies need to pretend that every man’s joke is the funniest thing they’ve ever heard.

Conga lines and the Bunny Hop, if you know how.

The Invitation:

Heavy cardstock invitations with fancy writing. Attach a Lucky Strike cigarette if possible.
