Angelina Jolie recently filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. The news was a shock to all of us, and during this struggle to come to terms with the fact that our idea of true love has been shattered, we’ve been waiting for comments from a few parties to help us process it all — mainly, Jennifer Aniston.
There are rumors flying around about substance abuse and that Angelina hired a personal investigator to prove Brad was cheating with Marion Cotillard. Apparently, Brad was totally blindsided by the filing. It’s all just so sad.
Either way, we knew Jennifer Aniston was going to have some thoughts. After all, watching the marriage dissolve that ruined your marriage must feel pretty satisfying.
According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, Jen shared only a few words about the divorce, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t stone cold.
“Yeah, that’s karma for you,” the 47-year-old Friends star reportedly said.
Still, Jennifer has moved on with hubby Justin Theroux and doesn’t hold any ill will towards Brad (or so she says. But really is she a saint or something?). She also always had the feeling that something weird was up with pairing.
“She always got the sense that something would happen with them eventually,” said the source. “She didn’t feel that Angelina was truly the one who Brad was meant to stay with. She always felt that Angelina was too complex for him. He’s a pretty simple guy.”
There you have it. Jennifer thinks Brad is a simple guy — in a good way, we’re sure.
