Jared Fogle, purveyor of “the Subway diet” and convicted pedophile is suing the parents of one of his victims. According to Fogle, the parents are to blame for the teen’s problems (and not, you know, the fact that Fogle is a grown man who should know better than to hire minors for sex).
Fogle’s suit alleges that the victim, a teen prostitute, was emotionally unstable after the divorce of her parents, who sued him and ex-employee Russell Taylor earlier this year. Fogle claims that Jane Doe’s parents fought and abused alcohol in front of her which caused her to suffer from major depression and engage in “destructive behaviors.” Among these behaviors, the suit lists the abuse of drugs and alcohol, self-mutilation and suicidal thoughts.
According to the victim, Fogle and Taylor shared nude photos and video of her. Fogle believes that the victim’s parents should be responsible for all the claims she’s making against him.
It’s unclear how long it will take for a judge to throw this suit away — or if the lawsuit will even see court in the first place. It’s also disappointing to see Fogle continuously fail to take responsibility for his actions. Let’s not forget he also blamed the Subway Diet for giving him a compulsive hyper-sexuality disorder (that apparently also made him a pedophile). Perhaps he should really use those 15 and a half years in prison to think about that.
