Hopefully she doesn’t tweet at President Obama asking for help, either.
Former ‘tween star Hilary Duff has reportedly been hit with a lawsuit by a woman who claims that the actress, singer, and new mother crashed into her car in 2010 and caused significant injuries.
According to a lawsuit that was filed in Los Angeles today by Rachel Owens, Duff smashed her Range Rover into the vehicle Owens was driving on Dec. 12, 2010, which resulted in Owens getting “hurt and injured in her health, strength and activity, sustaining injury to her nervous system.”
TMZreports that Owens, who is suing for unspecified damages, also claims the accident “prevented [her] from attending her usual occupation for a period of time in the future.” Hollywood.com has reached out to Duff’s representative and has not yet heard back.
This is the first brush with the law in any form for Duff, who for much of her earlier career carefully cultivated a wholesome image. She will next appear in the comedy She Wants Me, which is slated for release on Sept. 18.
