Lindsay Lohan has finally spoken out about her abusive relationship with fiance Egor Tarabasov.
Lohan has been publicly struggling with her relationship to Tarabasov since the uber-scary altercation that occurred in her London flat two weeks ago. Police were lead to her home after the actress was allegedly screaming for help and saying that Tarabasov had tried to kill her.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Lohan reveals that the she had hoped her relationship with Tarabasov would bring her marriage and children, but she cannot stay in abusive relationship any longer.
“I wanted to do this interview because it’s time to tell the truth,” she said. “There have been so many lies printed about me recently. I’ve kept quiet for so long, but now I’m scared of what Egor might do to me and to himself.”
She continued, speaking about the incident in her London flat.
“It’s not the first time. That’s the problem,” she said. “But this time, someone saw. I didn’t call anyone, I’ve dealt with enough police in LA. I just left the house and went to the Connaught [Hotel] for the night. I contacted my good friend [Israeli socialite] Hofit Golan who was in St Tropez. She said, ‘Get on a plane, come and meet me,’ so I did. I needed some time for myself.”
Lohan admitted that she cannot “stay in a relationship just for love.”
“No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn’t prepared to say sorry,” she said.
Recently, disturbing photos from her vacation to the Greek island of Mykonos surfaced. The pictures showed Lohan struggling to escape as Tarabasov grabbed her arms on the beach. Lohan allegedly threw his mobile phone onto the sand and ran out of the car. Tarabasov followed her, grabbed her roughly from behind and twisted her arms behind her back. Lohan admits she stole his phone because he would not let her have her phone.

Since the photos surfaced, Lohan says that she “wanted to make things work” but isn’t sure that she can.
“I need closure,” she said. “I genuinely fell in love with him but he broke my trust and made me feel unsafe. I know I’m not an angel but I’ve tried to fix things. It’s down to him now.”
This is all so sad. It’s one of those situations where an apology is not enough. Lohan needs to get out and she needs to get out now. Unfortunately, the star is torn. As The Daily Mail reports, she’s still wearing her emerald engagement ring even though she has not seen Tarabasov since the second incident.
Things moved remarkably fast with the couple, which should have been a warning sign, but the actress has undoubtedly had a difficult life with a lack of stability. The stability of an engagement was probably extremely appealing at the time. The actress admits that though they’ve only been dating for nine months, three weeks and two days, she’s been living with him since the second day they met. They were supposed to wed in Lake Como next May.
“All I wanted was to get married and settle down. I’ve always wanted four kids and Egor and I talked about having a family,” she said.
Lohan also sets the record straight on her allegedly pregnancy. The star is not pregnant and blames the rumor on her father who she claims to have “broken off contact” with.
“My father is known for talking to the press and selling stories. He loves the attention. In the past he’s said I’ve done drugs, he put my number on the internet. Who does that? Some of the stuff he’s done proves to me he doesn’t care about me,” she said.
Everything about Lohan’s interview is so saddening. Does this girl not have a single person she can rely on? Despite the difficulties the actress has been facing — from her drug addiction to domestic disputes — she remains hopeful that she can work again and do a good job.
“I’m not obsessed with Hollywood any more, I just want to work,” she said. “My plan is to go there to work and then come home to London. I’m a really good actress, I know that. I’ve made mistakes, the important thing is I’ve learned from them.”
Someone please give Lindsay a job and get her away from Egor. Is no one looking out for her? There’s got to be someone who can help.
