Oprah has finally revealed the REAL reason why she’s ending her show this year, and it’s because a dying 12 year-old told her to. In the June issue of O Magazine, she writes that Mattie Stepanek (a child author with muscular dystrophy who appeared on her show numerous times) sent her an email 13 months before he died that said she should only end the show after it had been on air for 25 years. He told her, “I know that you are planning to retire your show on its 20th anniversary. It is my opinion that you should wait to stop your daytime show on its 25th anniversary. Let me explain why. Twenty-five makes more sense to me, partially because I am a bit OCD and 25 is perfect number.” – Monsters and Critics
