2000 Fire and Ice Ball

HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 12, 2000 — Celebrities once again felt the fever for the 10th Annual Fire and Ice Ball. “Friends” Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox Arquette hosted the lavish party, all in the name of the Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program.

“It’s glamour. It’s fun. It’s hyped up and crazy. But at the end of the night, we want to raise a lot of money for cancer research,” said Revlon spokesmodel and actress Sarah O’Hare (“Head Over Heels“).

The heavy subject matter didn’t keep the celebs from having a little fun, though.

“I think it’s important to contain the fire. It’s better to allow people to think that you’re ice, but inside have the fire,” quipped Jennifer Love Hewitt.

David Arquette, Sela Ward and other celebrities touched by cancer turned out for the event established by producer Lilly Tartikoff and Revlon owner Ronald O. Perelman.

“My mother suffered from ovarian cancer for years. Women’s cancer research is desperately needed. It’s time to find a cure,” Ward said.
