HOLLYWOOD, June 20, 2001 — With the opening of Cats & Dogs fast approaching, the live-action and voice stars of the film left their mark Wednesday morning in cement for a charitable cause.
Sean Hayes and Joe Pantoliano, who provide two of the voices in the film, were joined by their animal counterparts, Mr. Tinkles the cat and Peek the dog, respectively. Also honored was William, the dog who made news headlines this year when he was thrown from a bridge onto the Los Angeles 101 freeway and survived.
The autographed concrete souvenirs will be auctioned on eBay beginning June 28 to benefit Animal Rescue Volunteers, a non-profit animal welfare organization that helps feed, house and provide medical attention, foster care and adoption services for rescued animals.
