Scrubs Finale
(Wednesday, May 6, 2009)
Sigh. J.D. is leaving Sacred Heart. (Um, not to mention the other big elephant in the hospital, but … everyone is peacing-out of Scrubs.) Amidst the “Goodbye, J.D.” signs and the bro hug-outs with Turk (even if Zach Braff and Donald Faison don’t shed any tears, we will), J.D.’s got the “next step” to look forward to with Elliot (Sarah Chalke). The trip to the Bahamas proved well, but man, is that girl quirky — (rules: no morning sex. Water down the mouthwash for an easy-to-swallow consistency and many, many more). But before both we and J.D. ponder a happily-ever-after with his looker of a colleague, the lead Scrub-er walks his final strut in medical booties and “relives” eight years of memories — and 50 guest stars. Brace yourself for Tom Cavanagh as Dan Dorian, Amy Smart as Jamie, Michael McDonald as Mr. Cropper and the one called Snoop Dawg. This is a real goodbye, folks — not like when it left NBC. ABC means it.
