[IMG:L]10:01: Ari tries to help Vince’s career by playing an unfriendly round of golf with Allen Gray (Paul Ben-Victor), head of Paramount. Unfortunately, Ari appears to have borrowed a shirt from Mrs. Ari (Perrey Reeves) for the big match.
10:02: Times are so tight that even Turtle is hoping to find a job. You’d think he’d settle on selling pot, but he actually applies for the vacant position of being Drama’s personal assistant. It’s Turtle’s once-a-season ambitious episode!
10:04: The ‘Oh, sh*t’ phone call comes uncharacteristically early in the episode: Dom (Domenick Lombardozzi) is involved in a high-speed police pursuit–O.J. style, with a Hummer substituted for the Ford Bronco.
10:06: Legendary producer/relentless talker Bob Ryan (Martin Landau) is still alive–and so is his Ramones project! Is that something you think you might be interested in?
10:07: Cameo of the night: golfer Phil Mickelson
10:09: Dom claims innocence–which almost certainly means he’s guilty. He also claims to have a wife and kid–which almost certainly means he’s single and childless.
10:12: There are a lot of things Johnny Drama doesn’t know about life, but Raisin Bran isn’t one of them.
10:18: It’s official: Mickelson is as bad at acting as he is good at golfing.
10:22: OK, I’m siding with Ari: Bob is annoying as hell.
10:23: Ari gets another shot at sinking a pretty long putt in exchange for a gig for Vince. Fortunately, he misses, thus avoiding a massive cliché for the show. But unfortunately, Allen Gray suffers a heart attack on the green. On a bright note, Ben-Victor’s heart-attack performance was damn good!
10:25: Turtle passes actor’s-assistant boot camp–and promptly quits, leaving Drama to walk home.
10:27: Dom’s wife is none too pleased about his run-in with the law, and leaves with their kid–after which Dom tells E to take him to jail. I never thought I’d feel this way for Dom, but…awww.
10:28: Allen dies from the aforementioned heart attack. Wow, what a major episode for the minor characters.
10:29: Previews for next week: Vince accepts a modeling gig–which shouldn’t come as that much of a shock since Adrian Grenier does look every bit as “runway” as he does “on-the-cusp movie star”; Ari pays his version of respect to Allen Gray, but will likely be tempted to broker a deal at the funeral.
