Everest holds U.K. box office summit for second week

Jake Gyllenhaal’s disaster drama Everest has maintained its icy grip on the top of the U.K. box office for a second weekend (25-27Sep15).
The film, about climbers on the world’s highest mountain fighting for their life after a severe storm hits, has remained in peak position for another week with takings of $3.2 million (£2 million).
Second and third places are non-movers, with Tom Hardy’s gangster biopic Legend taking $2.9 million (£1.8 million) and adventure sequel Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials making $1.9 million (£1.2 million).
Drew Barrymore’s cancer drama Miss You Already lands in fourth place in its opening weekend with $779,000 (£487,000) and Disney’s animated movie Inside Out rounds out the top five with takings of $677,000 (£423,000) after 10 weeks on the chart.
