Exclusive! Sneak Peek at “2 Fast 2 Furious”‘s Paul Walker

CG!: We heard you did a lot of your own stunts in 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Are you a big daredevil?
PW: Yeah, big time! I just got back from a heliboarding
trip–basically you get dropped off a helicopter into the steepest mountain
slopes. Imagine the most extreme snowboarding. I’m just a big kid. I surf
and skateboard.

CG!: Are you into cars now too?
PW: I’m a complete gearhead! The Fast and the Furious
really got me into that!

CG!: You get to show off your knowledge of cars and your sexy
smile in the movie!
PW: I don’t really like my smile. I think I look evil.
My smile is so huge! Somebody told me a long time ago that my smile is
so big that I look like the Joker! And then I realized, Oh my God! I totally
do! I look just like Jack Nicholson!

CG!: Oh, come on!
PW: I’m not very good at taking compliments. I’m the
guy who totally blushes! It’s the worst. But as a result, I don’t dish
compliments out as easily either–you don’t want to seem cheesy. I just
want it to sound sincere.

CG!: Gosh, you’re so modest. Do you have a hard time getting
along with other stars?
PW: That depends. I don’t get along well with egos. For
the most part, people I’ve worked with have been really cool. I think
everyone comes to a movie set with their guard up. They prepare for an
egomaniac. That’s why I try to make a jackass of myself from the beginning
and show everyone that it’s cool.

CG:! How did you do that on the set of 2 Fast 2 Furious?
PW: I came to the set on an obnoxious black bicycle with
orange flames painted all over it. I had my baseball cap twisted backwards,
and my shorts hanging off my butt. I acted all goofy and stupid and that
set the tone for the rest of the movie.

CG!: You’re a goofball with a killer smile–we think we’re in
love!
