[IMG:L]God, every minute is now starting to count–they are sucking me in.
9:01: Nathan ponders whether he is an angel or a monster, while lying next to the lovely Tracy. Linderman appears to ruin it, claiming he could be the voice from God. Doubtful. But Nathan is all into speaking to God thing now.
9:04: Mohinder is turning feral. In a park.
9:05: Peter, pissed at Sylar for giving him the “hunger,” also finds out Sylar is his brother. So like all good sibling rivalry, Peter breaks Sylar’s neck (doesn’t stick, of course). When Angela comes in, Peter almost opens her head–until Sylar stops him. Peter’s on the edge.
9:07: Mrs. Bennet figures out Claire didn’t go on a cheerleading retreat. I could have told her that. Instead, she finds a bunch of files on the villains who have escaped and realizes Claire has gone off to find them. Meredith (Claire’s real mom) says she’ll go after the girl. Meanwhile, Claire finds a “villain,” a guy who can create vortexes and make people disappear in them. Where do they get these powers?
9:10: Hiro wants Adam to help them find the bad guy who has the formula. Adam is less than willing, calling Hiro a “little Japanese Nazi!” But Hiro convinces him.
9:12: At some building called Pinehurst, Linderman makes an appearance to talk to Speedster. He wants her to recruit some special people for a new world order, including Knox and Mohinder. Whatever, so long as she gets paid.
9:13: Partners Sylar and Bennet go off to find some more villains. Sylar and Bennet, the new Starsky and Hutch.
9:15: Claire is a little over her head when vortex guy sucks her taser gun out of her hands. He just wants to explain himself, to say the Company got it wrong. He just wants to see his family again. She decides he is telling the truth and helps him track down his family.
9:16: Mohinder dragging a guy he found in the park into his “lab” or lair, as it turns out. There’s already one guy there–the abusive neighbor from last week–in some kind of gooey web. Mohinder is the Fly, I’m telling you.
9:25: Just as Claire helps Vortex guy, Bennet suddenly bursts into the room with Sylar. Vortex thinks he has been set up, again, so gets a good vortex going before skipping out. Sylar, Claire and Bennet grab onto anything they can to save themselves from being sucked in. Finally, Sylar grabs Claire before she gets whisked away.
9:33: Adam gets the better of Hiro and Ando and escapes–only to clobbered over the head by Knox and thrown into the back of a van.
9:35: Nathan and Tracy come to see Angela at the Company, to find Peter in a medically induced coma. Mama Petrelli knows all about Tracy and how Dr. Zimmerman came up with synthetic technology that would give people powers–aka, the FORMULA–which was then tested on infants, including Tracy, her sisters–and yes, even Nathan.
9:37: Maya discovers Mohinder’s, er, secret. Apparently, the men in cocoons are not dead. She’s rather horrified. Just then, Mohinder comes back. Hiding, Maya uses her powers to try to stop him. “Maya, I know you’re in here!,” Mohinder screams. Well, yeah, that’s cause your eyes are about to bleed black goo, big surprise. But then Maya stops. That’s just the opportunity for him to wrap Maya into a cocoon. Good, let’s just keep her there.
9:43: Later, after telling his mom to go to hell, Nathan thinks Mohinder can help him and Tracy. “He’s harmless.” Yeah, right!
9:46: Bennet convinces Claire he will help Vortex, so she lets Bennet know where to find him–only to find the man despondent. He was waiting for his family, but they didn’t show up. But Bennet pulls a gun. Claire can’t believe it. Bennet makes Vortex a deal that if he sends Sylar into oblivion forever, Bennet will let him go. Claire is more than incredulous at what her father is doing. Sylar, standing near the car, can’t quite make out what’s going on. But Vortex won’t do it, instead sending himself into the netherworld. D’oh!
9:48: Hiro and Ando in the bar, lamenting the fact they lost Adam. They can be quite boring, these two. But just then, Speedster and Knox show up. Hiro and Ando are still playing the game and want to join up with whatever they are doing. But to prove Hiro is up for the challenge, Knox takes a samurai sword off the wall of the bar (convenient) and tells Hiro he must kill Ando, to prove he has what it takes to be a badass. Here’s the shocking part: Hiro seems to run Ando right through–for the sake of saving the world, of course. Now, if he’s not dead, Ando is going to be pissed–and hence the reason why he might turn on Hiro later.
9:54: Across the universe, Meredith has found one of the other villains who seems to be able to control her every move. He’s called the Puppetman, according to the previews.
9:55: Angela sees the future in which some guy she’s none too happy to see comes back and kills Nathan, Peter and Tracy. But can she stop it? Not sure, since he tells her she won’t be able to move. When she wakes up, she can’t move.
9:57: Speedster finds Linderman at Pinehurst, to tell him she’s found everyone, including the Japanese guy. But there’s one more guy she has to recruit: Matt Parkman. Okie doke, but first she’s gotta clear something up. She puts her hand through Linderman and realizes he isn’t real. Whatever, so long as she gets paid.
9:58: Of course, Linderman isn’t there. It’s because he is actually Parkman’s dad. Remember, he’s the dude who is much better at controlling minds and what people see than Parkman.
9:59: Parkman Senior goes to see some guy lying in a bed, hooked up to tubes. The man talks to Parkman Sr. through his mind. Yes, Parkman Sr. has been messing with Nathan as Linderman. Yes, the army is being formed, including Adam who is being brought in by Knox. “Yes, Mr. Petrelli, everything is going to plan.”
Papa Petrelli, eh? Let the games begin.
