Stars just don’t come any brighter than Hollywood’s hottest big guy, Vin Diesel. When his movies hit theaters, girls flock to see them, squealing with delight as soon as those rippling muscles hit the screen.

Real Name: Mark Vincent
Birthday: July 18, 1967
Family: Diesel never met his biological father, but he and his stepfather are reportedly very close. His mother, Delora, is an astrologist. He has two sisters and a twin brother (that’s right, girls, there are two guys who look like that), Paul Vincent.
Education: Studied English at Hunter College, with a concentration on creative writing
The Early Years: Diesel’s first film was a short called Multifacial, which debuted at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival. Diesel wrote, produced, directed and starred in the film.
First Feature: Diesel’s first full-length feature was Strays in 1997. It premiered in competition at the Sundance Film Festival and was written, co-produced and directed by Diesel, who also starred.

Up Next: Lots of sequels are in the works for the big guy, including Pitch Black 2 and xXx 2. He’s already said he will not appear in the sequel to The Fast and the Furious, but he’ll be getting pretty furious as Hannibal, the third century B.C. Carthaginian general who rode an elephant across the Alps to attack Rome.
