If it’s one thing the cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ does well besides make pasta and set gas grills on fire, it’s make fun of themselves and the other aspects of pop culture threatening to knock them off their thrones of greatness. And last night was no different, when Jimmy Kimmel aired a spoof to commemorate the upcoming release of Twilight and the season premiere of Jersey Shore. Everyone was involved: ‘The Situation’ played Edward without the typical high school paunch, Snooki played Bella if she’d spent twenty light-years in Puerto Rico, Pauly D. was an unkempt and self-pleasuring Jacob, J-WoWW was the under-dressed high school girl who refuses to go home and change, Vinny was a drunk driver, and Ronny and Sammi were Volturi vampires. Jimmy himself even appeared in the video as Bella’s uninterested sheriff father.
It’s so good it makes the original Twilight look flatter than the layers of tomato sauce in a batch of lasagna. Which…ha! Oddly describes it perfectly!
