With ‘Sex and the City 2’ premiering tomorrow, Sarah Jessica Parker (my one and only, above and beyond idol) gave David Letterman some inside information about her family life. She admitted her son is “diminutive” in stature and has a bit of a Napoleon complex, and then said her husband (Matthew Broderick) is “average.” She may not be good with words, but at least she was smart enough to realize she won’t live either one of those statements down.
So are you going to see ‘Sex and the City 2’? Maybe? No? Kim Cattrall wants you to, and she’s surprisingly different than her character of Samantha! The interview she gives Jimmy Fallon is a delight, but a little dry if you aren’t a fan of the show. So I’ll hook you up with some deleted scenes from the movie, where Jimmy makes an extended cameo. (Also: no offense to her, but every time I say “Kim,” I want to follow it with “Kardashian.” Is that weird? Does she own the name “Kim” now?)
Jimmy Kimmel asked ‘Dancing with the Stars’ champions Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough if they knew they were going to win the whole time they were in the competition. They said they didn’t, but…Nicole was the lead singer (and dancer) in the Pussycat Dolls. I do not understand how she was cast on the show in the first place, because she is a dancer who dances in dance videos and it’s not fair for Kate Gosselin to compete against professional dancers. Of course Nicole’s going to win a dancing competition. SHE’S A DANCER! Sorry. This is neither here nor there. (Except it really kinda is.)
Jay Leno sent Ross, his intern, to the world premiere of ‘Sex and the City 2,’ where he talked with Donald Trump, who kind of harshed everyone’s mellow. But Ross also spoke with some people who are actually in the movie, who helped him try and figure out which character he is. So in case you’re not sick of playing the “Are you a Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda or a Samantha?” game with your friends, here’s some more of it.
And ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ winner Bret Michaels told Jay Leno about what it was like to beat out Holly Robinson-Peete for Trump’s highest honor. Leno made a few too many medical jokes, which prompted Michaels to talk candidly about how his appendectomy led to a brain hemorrhage. Rock stars, man. They’re tougher than Ford Tonka trucks.
