Street Critic: What’s on Moviegoers’ Minds

With a potential blockbuster trio descending on the box office this week–Eight Below, Freedomland and Date Movie–and a host of beloved stars ranging from the Oscar nominated Julianne Moore, the heart-throb-du-jour Paul Walker and the formidable Samuel L. Jackson, there’s quite a bit to choose from–pending on your genre inclination this week, be it satire or thriller, as you get your film-fix on … Incidentally, with over 90 feature films under his belt, and with his films having made roughly over $3.5 billion dollars over the span of three decades, Mr. Sam Jackson, was recently named the highest grossing movie actor of all time–and, by the way, he usurped the title from Harrison Ford. So as Sam’s work is now in two theaters, with Coach Carter doing quite a valiant job at the box-office, we’re assuming this pic will only further set the highly-in-demand star, often thought of as ‘Mr. Cool’, even farther apart from the other luminaries in Hollywood today.

So, as we dive-in to hear what YOU want to see this week at the movies, let’s take a minute to give it up to Samuel L. Jackson! Okay, now let’s catch-up with our avid movie-goers and get a glimpse of what’s on their MUST SEE list this week and why!

		Critic: Rick Davis You’re Seeing: Syriana Because…: “I think it would be interesting–because it’s Middle Eastern… and all the geo-political tension going-on…”
		Critic: Victor ‘Vic’ Santana You’re Seeing: Date Movie Because…: “I think it’s gonna’ be ridiculously funny!”
		Critic: Lamar Whadley You’re Seeing: Final Destination 3 Because…: “I’m going with a friend to see it and it looks good. I saw the previews—I liked them. And I saw [Final Destination] 1 and 2 in the movies.”
		Critic: Wesley Samuel You’re Seeing: Big Momma’s House 2 Because…: “Well, you know, I’m just in the mood to laugh. And I just want to see something funny, so I chose this one today. Yesterday, I chose the Pink Panther. Today I choose Big Momma, so I’m just in the mood for comedies”
