[IMG:L]1. Cletus rebounds, Brit stumbles… We despised Kevin Federline when he married—and twice knocked up—pop royalty Britney Spears. He was totally bringing her down, even before he put out that stupid “PopoZao” single. Then something funny happened: K-Fed poked fun at himself in a Super Bowl TV spot for Nationwide Insurance and for once, we laughed with him rather than at him. And to top it off, K-Fed hugged it out with Justin Timberlake on the red carpet at a post-Grammy party (watch video) last week.
2. And it all evens out for JT… Remember that Seinfeld episode where everything always evens out for Jerry? Justin is Jerry. When Britney was up, K-Fed was down. Now K-Fed is up, Brit‘s down. It’s almost as though every decision Brit‘s made lately has been wrong. If every instinct she’s been having is wrong, then wouldn’t the opposite have to be right?
[IMG:R]3. Brit’s rebound love fouls… Brit‘s quickie rebound fling with model Isaac Cohen fell flat–and then hit the headlines for the world to judge. Isaac’s pals tell OK! magazine the buff boy had been “looking to get out of the relationship for a while” because there was a lot of drama. According to the magazine, Isaac broke the news over the phone to Brit, who having dumped Cletus via text message, learned the true meaning of poetic justice.
4. The old in out… Brit checked herself into Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Center in Antigua, but then checked out of the rehab center after less than a day. She decided shaving her head was better therapy.

The creepy foreshadowing… Brit‘s former assistant Felicia Culotta pens a letter we posted on That Other Blog, saying the pop star’s friends and family were trying to get her to seek professional help—but without much success. “There’s just so much you can do to help a person. I cannot convince her in any way to love herself. I cannot save her from herself, nor can I commit her to any type of treatment program against her wishes and will,” Culatta spilled. “I am throwing my hands up and realizing that I am helpless over another.” (Read the letter)
6. Brit shaves her head… Phew. We thought Sinead O’Connor was making a comeback. According to People magazine, Brit left Antigua and returned to Southern California, where she proceeded to shave her head. “Fridays are our late night and we finished working and were closing up and all of a sudden there were flashing lights outside and someone knocking on the door,” Esther Tognozzi told Extra. “They said Britney Spears wanted to come in. So, I let her in. I had no idea what she wanted to do at all. She sat in my chair and said, ‘I want all my hair shaved off.’” When Tognozzi refused, Brit grabbed the buzzer and did it herself.
[IMG:R]7. So Isaac weighs in… “Britney‘s boys mean everything to her and she worried she might lose them in a custody battle. It was clear she was not over her marriage. She’d lie like a rag doll in my arms and say, ‘Why can’t everyone leave me alone?’” Brit‘s week-long boyfriend, Isaac Cohen, chimes in. Really, what does he know. And at that point in, Cletus never had a chance at full custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James.
8. She gets inked… “She just wanted something real small on her wrist, something dainty,” Max Gott, the tattoo artist at Body and Soul in Sherman Oaks, told KABC-TV. “She got some cute little lips on her wrist.” Derrik Snell, who works at the tattoo parlor, added: “She seemed fine. I didn’t really notice (the hairdo) at first, she had a hood on when she showed up.”
[IMG:L]9. She parties in a platinum wig… Brit shows up at the Mondrian hotel on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood sporting a green cap over a blond wig. The “Toxic” singer then spent the afternoon by the pool chain-smoking, drinking pricey cocktails and partying with friends. Brit also sported that same multi-colored bikini top she had borrowed from a dancer earlier in the week at a New York City nightclub, along with a mismatched pink bikini bottom. Yuck.
10. Respect her privacy, please… That’s what Brit‘s manager Larry Rudolph has requested from the media after reports surfaced Feb. 20 she checked into an unnamed in-patient facility in Los Angeles at her family’s urging.
