“The Mummy Returns” Soundtrack Review

You know you’re listening to a pretty blah soundtrack when all the music begin to sound the same. In The Mummy Returns soundtrack, that’s exactly what happens, unless you count the honking of trumpets and horns. That’s different.

Rating:
One full star

The only high point is the brand new track that multi-platinum rock group Live offers, “Forever May Not Be Long Enough.” The song–co-written and produced by five-time Grammy winner Glen Ballard, best known for his work with artists such as Alanis Morissette, Aerosmith, and the Dave Mathews Band–is the only good track on the CD.

Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, Cast Away, Back to the Future) composed and conducted the score for the latest incarnation of The Mummy.

Best Time to Listen: On a one-song car ride to the 7-11.
