Neil Blomkamp‘s Elysium — that movie that we are extremely excited about but really have no clue what it’s about — already has a pretty tremendous cast, including Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and Sharlto Copley. And now, according to Variety, they’ve added another name: Diego Luna. And, boom: somehow, we’re even more excited.
Luna’s career stretches over a wide range of films, but he’s most known for his moving roles in both Y Tu Mama Tambien and Milk. We’re not sure who he’ll play in Elysium (because, well, we don’t know who anyone will play), but regardless, he’ll undoubtedly give a strong performance, and if it’s anything like his previous work, it’ll somehow manage to be creepy and scary and awesome, all at the same time.
