‘Silver Linings’: Bradley Cooper Praises Jennifer Lawrence’s Dance Dedication — EXCLUSIVE

Training an actor to possess the skills of a professional dancer is an intense and rigorous process. But what about training an actor to possess the skills of a total newbie? Equally difficult, according to Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell and his latest film’s star, Bradley Cooper.

In this exclusive clip from the Q&A conducted for EPIX and LA Times’ Envelope Screening Series, the two discuss the challenges of pulling off the movie’s big dance scene, both a physical and emotional feat. Russell admitted there was one component that made the challenge a little more doable. “I had the advantage of both actors being completely open to whatever it took,” Russell says. “Neither actor was squeamish to the dancing.”
