‘Wolverine 2’ Start Date Could Be Delayed

5390061.jpg Bad news for fanboys: Deadline reports that Fox is primed to push the start date for The Wolverine, the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, back to spring 2012. It had been slated to begin shooting in February, but the studio may decide to wait until star Hugh Jackman finishes shooting Les Miserables. Deadline adds that locations for the Japan-set film have been difficult to find due to “weather-related considerations,” considerations which could cause the entire production to be moved to Canada.

It’s just the latest setback for a film that has seen more than its share of turmoil in its short history. Director Darren Aronofsky abruptly pulled out of the project back in March, citing concerns about being away from his family for a lengthy amount of time. He was replaced by Knight and Day director James Mangold.
