Woody Allen has followed up his most recent Oscar-winning love letter to a romantic European city (Midnight in Paris) with yet another love letter to another romantic European city in To Rome with Love.
Directing an all-star cast that includes Alec Baldwin, Ellen Page, Penelope Cruz (who nabbed an Oscar for her work in the famed writer/director’s other other European love letter Vicky Cristina Barcelona), and Allen-esque-neurotic-in-training Jesse Eisenberg, Allen once again portals his trademark wit (“You’re figuring it in Euros, in dollars it’s much less”) through a lens of the intellectual upper class. Oh, and the film ushers in the return of Roberto Benigni. Try to contain your excitement!
