For the past few days, the world has been abuzz with Sports Illustrated model news. The 50th anniversary of the swimsuit issue was kind of a huge deal, and some special edition magazine covers (one of which included Barbie herself) were released. Although Kate Upton ultimately reigned, scoring the official cover and also getting a shoot in zero-gravity (because, obviously) we have to give it up to supermodel Chanel Iman for having the Best Hair Week on Instagram. Chanel got a spread as a Sports Illustrated “Rookie” and shared a bunch of great photos from the shoot on her Instagram. While Beyoncé may be the one to thank for re-introducing the world to the eternally sexy wet look, we love the way Chanel is rocking her locks. Considering the fact that many of us are trapped in a Polar Vortex of doom, this beach look is giving off some much-needed good vibes.
Chanel has a big year ahead of her, and it looks like she’s taking it to TV. She just filmed an appearance on Nick Cannon’s Wildin’ Out and while her hair wasn’t wet, it was wavy… and fabulous. We can’t wait to see her episode.
