Peter Pilotto x Target For Spring 2014? Yes, Please!

Before we even have a chance to mourn the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Phillip Lim collection for Target, we were hit in the head with some exciting news. Today, the announcement came that Target would be collaborating with the half-Austrian, half-Italian designer Peter Pilotto next spring. Pilotto is known for his geometric and otherworldly prints, á la Clover Canyon and Mary Katrantzou. This pairing may be the most interesting of all of the Target designer lines since Target usually sticks to more well known brand—past collaborations included Missoni and Jason Wu. This could also be the loudest collection to date. Sure, Missoni’s zigzags are great eye candy, but Peter Pilotto’s graphic designs are something we’ve never seen from Target before.

This could be Target’s loudest collection to date.

Perhaps even just as exciting, Target is teaming up with Net-A-Porter.com to sell an edited line of the collection. The retailer is an important partner of Pilotto and this will allow for international consumers to get in on the designer action as wel. The line will be available Feb. 9, 2014 at most Target stores in the U.S. and Canada, Target.com and Net-A-Porter.com. If you find yourself struggling to wait that long, join in on some Instagram and Twitter fun using #PeterPilottoforTarget— or we can just relax for five months before we have to line up outside Target at 7:00 a.m. in order to snag a piece of the collection.
