The Discovery Channel has severed ties with Man vs. Wild host/star Bear Grylls due to a contractual dispute.
The rift is reportedly due to Grylls not participating in two projects the network had lined up for him and for which he was contractually obligated.
Discovery’s official statement reads: “Due to a continuing contractual dispute with Bear Grylls, Discovery has terminated all current productions with him.”

The network and star will have collaborated on six seasons of the highly rated survival series Man vs. Wild, which led to several other ventures for Grylls (and perhaps a loss of interest in his TV show), including endorsement deals and even a clothing line.
