Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have ended their five-year relationship — via Twitter.
Carrey’s tweet came first: “Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay! ?;^>”
It was followed by a post from the former Playboy Playmate that read: “Im so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane [Carrey’s daughter] and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.”

Breaking up through Twitter might’ve seemed a rather sad, insincere conclusion to a long-by-Hollywood-standards relationship — but they did almost use the full 140 characters.
