Juggalos Are Taking Over Washington To Prove They’re Not A Gang

SMH. There is nothing that makes us want to shake our heads more than the Faygo-chugging, face-painting subculture known as the Juggalos, but it’s possible they’re sorely misunderstood. The group is organizing a rally in Washington in hopes of proving that they’re more than drug-addicted trouble makers — the stereotype that’s stuck with them since they were recognized as a gang by the FBI in 2011.

The group of Faygo-chugging music fans once attacked Tila Tequila at their annual celebration “The Gathering of the Juggalos.” They first attacked her on stage, then tried to flip her trailer for some unknown reason. Later, the FBI defined them as a “loosely-organized, hybrid gang.” Loosely, because lets be honest, Juggalos have one meeting per year, and it’s pretty much somewhere you’d never want to go unless you’re into meth and rap rock.

To combat the FBI’s designation, Insane Clown Posse (a.k.a the people responsible for Juggalos in the first place) filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice. While they’re waiting for a federal judge to hear their appeal, ICP has called all Juggalos to march through Washington in the “Million Juggalo March.”

The event was announced last weekend at a seminar discussion during this year’s Gathering. Violent J, who’s one half of ICP, confirmed the date of the march during a performance. “In 2017, the weekend of September 17th, we need you,” he said. “We’re gonna do a f—ing march on Washington. They call the Juggalo World a movement, right? Well, let’s move!”

It’s safe to say that if you live in Washington D.C., you better lock your doors or start planning a much-needed vacation because you’re probably not going to want to be in town for this. If you happen to be Tila Tequila, you better just leave the country for the whole of September. Who knows what could happen?

We’re not sure what to expect, but we can kind of bet on it being like this:

The march will begin on September 16th at the Lincoln Memorial, go down Constitution Avenue and end at the Washington Monument with a protest rally. ICP also plan to hold a free concert at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristol, VA and host a picnic.

Definitely, the way to prove to the government that you’re not a loosely organized gang is to become a tightly organized gang that takes over a city and bothers everyone in your immediate vicinity. Good job, Juggalos.
