Even though Kris Jenner is appearing on every morning news show she can and talking about working tirelessly to legitimize Kim Kardashian‘s short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries, there are still all sorts of questions that have yet to be answered — like if Kim really will keep the ring, if they’ve considered reconciling, how hard they tried to save their relationship, and why it really didn’t occur to them to talk about where they were going to live once they were married. And even though it will be a while before we get some concrete answers, Kim’s ex-publicist, Jonathan Jaxson, was kind enough to clear up the most important issue of all and informed us that yes, the entire wedding was completely staged.
reports that Jaxson (who worked with Kim from 2007 to 2009) is able to conclude the elaborate $10 million wedding was fake because over the course of his career, he falsified several other events in Kim’s life. He said, “I staged several of the moments that the world has seen of her, such as a ring that we alleged was from Reggie Bush. It was December 26th, 2007 — I remember the day. She was going to go shopping with her grandmother and her mom and we said, ‘Let’s do something to get more press for you.’ She said, ‘Perfect. Let me go to a ring store and walk out as if Reggie Bush were proposing to me… I have a ring I love and adore — it’s seven carats. I’ll keep it in my purse.’ And I said, Put it on before you walk out, put it on your right hand, and then the photogs that I staged will sit there and snap photos.’ It was calculated to a T and then it was leaked to a magazine.” Jaxson also alleges that when Bush realized Kim was purposely misleading the press, he ended their relationship.
As for Jaxson’s motive for reporting on Kim’s antics, he claims he’s not doing so because he wants to get even with her. Instead, he explained, “I am out of the industry and I really want to talk about what happens behind the scenes. Some things sound damaging, but in reality I just want to shed light on another part of life that we read about everyday.” Or in other words, to drum up some press about a book that his Twitter feed seems to indicate is on the way.
