Orange Is The New Black star Danielle Brooks (you might know her as Taystee from the series) recently tweeted her dissatisfaction after a potentially racist encounter in first class.
Brooks was flying to her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live when an airport employee noticed she was flying first class and said, “You’re in first class, lucky you!” Of course, this insinuates the Brooks has never flown first class, does not look like someone who would fly first class, or only received the first class ticket as a stroke of luck. Meanwhile, Brooks is a highly accomplished actor who snagged a Tony nomination for her performance in The Color Purple. Racist much?
Brooks tweeted about the incident, but later deleted her tweet. She said:
“I hate when gate agents look at me like I’ve never flown first class and say ‘You’re in first class, lucky you!’😒 really tho.”
Despite deleting her tweet, it still garnered massive attention. The Internet quickly launched into a fierce debate about racism.
Most OITNB fans supported Brooks.
Damn, probably because of your skin color.

Next time just reply, "They pay me enough per episode (gate agents name of airline name)"

Still, there were definitely some haters (seriously, haters, move aside).
There are people who have to be offended by something so they find anything. You are one of those people.
