“Along Came a Spider” Premiere

HOLLYWOOD, Apr. 2, 2001 — Four years after the successful thriller Kiss
the Girls,
Morgan Freeman is back to reprise his role as forensic psychologist Dr. Alex Cross in Along Came a Spider, which held its premiere Monday night on the Paramount Studios lot.


Based on another best-selling novel by James Patterson, Spider follows Alex’s pursuit of a sociopath (Michael Wincott) who has kidnapped a senator’s daughter. Aided by a Secret Service agent (Monica Potter), Alex becomes tangled in a web of clues, tangles and major twists.


The film’s cast, including Freeman, Potter, Wincott, Dylan Baker and others
were on hand at the premiere.


Along Came a Spider, directed by Lee Tamahori (The Edge)
arrives in theaters Apr. 6.
