Ohpleaseohplease, give us a Brangelina sighting. Totally possible, too, since both Brad Pitt (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and Angelina Jolie (Changeling) are nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress. Broadcast live on VH1 (9 ET/PT), the annual Critics’ Choice Awards is a sweet, no-stress ceremony preceding the big-daddy shows like the Globes and the Oscars. A whopping total of 10 movies are Big Picture contenders — including Wall-E! While Tropic Thunder‘s Robert Downey Jr. celebrates a Best Supporting Actress nod and the way-too-overlooked Christopher Nolan for directing The Dark Knight, Critics’ Choice boasts a couple of offbeat categories like Best Comedy Movie (surprise, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is nominated!) and Best Young Actor/Actress (give it to David Kross, who boldly beds Kate Winslet in The Reader). Start an hour early to glimpse the red carpet — nominee Anne Hathaway will not disappoint.

YESTERDAY’S DO-IT: You’re going down, Glenn Close!
