The Players: Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Cate Blanchett; directed by Barry Levinson

The Skinny: Meet Joe (Willis) and Terry (Thornton), a pair of comically mismatched escaped cons who decide to become independently wealthy by going on a bank robbing spree down the West Coast. Things get complicated when they add a third partner, a woman (Blanchett) running from her husband.

The Bottom Line: Thornton gets to play another nerdy guy and he is also working with Blanchett again after doing 1999 Pushing Tin together. Willis gets to play that suave ladies’ man he played in Moonlighting. Sounds like this it could one of those comedies to brighten the fall schedule.
