Joss Whedon has teamed up with Midnight, Texas creator Monica Owusu-Breen to revamp his cult TV franchise Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The new Buffy series will reportedly star a black actress in the title role, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003.
