Naveen Andrews as Sayid Naveen Andrews as SAYID
Once a member of the Iraqi Republican Guard, Sayid is a poised, tech-savvy Muslim who quickly realized that he would be dealing with a diverse group of people who might judge him solely on his appearance. This type of racial profiling prejudice, even amongst fellow survivors, could turn them against one another in their attempts to stay alive.
Fun fact: Naveen attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama along with Ewan McGregor, and David Thewlis.

Terry O'Quinn as Locke Terry O’Quinn as LOCKE
As mysterious as they come, Locke keeps to himself and takes refuge in his love for the island life. How his connection to the island evolved has not yet been revealed. What the other survivors do know, however, is that Locke seems to be driven to help others. Locke was the very person who uncovered Charlie’s drug addiction, but certainly did not run away. When Locke and the young and curious Walt develop a friendship, Michael questions his motives. Locke might need to open himself up to the other survivors if he wants others to accept him.

Matthew Fox as Jack Matthew Fox as JACK
Jack is a rugged-yet-compassionate doctor quickly deemed as the leader of the pack amongst the 48 survivors. His powerful presence was identified from the very beginning when he took charge in deciding everything from where to set up camp to what the remaining survivors should do with the scattered bodies of those who did not make it. Jack finds himself in a bind when a cave collapses on him and must rely on the others to save him.
Fun fact: Matthew is best known for his role as Charlie Salinger on Party of Five.

Maggie Grace as Shannon Maggie Grace as SHANNON

Shannon must find a way to coexist with the other “normal” survivors and forget about the glitz and glamour she so desperately cherishes.

A big lesson for Sawyer might be to learn to trust other people, or he might be living a very short life on the island.
Fun fact: After one year at the University of Georgia, Josh embarked on a successful modeling career that took him all over Europe and North America. [PAGEBREAK]

Fun fact: Evangeline once lived in a grass hut in the jungles of the Philippines with a missionary group.
