Sir Tom Jones has axed another two shows as he recovers from a bacterial infection.
The 78-year-old singer scrapped concerts in Chichester and Chester, England earlier this week (begs16Jul18) after he was hospitalised, and now two weekend gigs in Germany and England have been pulled.
A statement from his representative confirms the Delilah singer is still being treated in hospital, but he’s in “good spirits” and “the condition is being well managed”.
“Sir Tom wants to extend both his heartfelt appreciation and his sincere apologies to all who planned to attend the shows, as well as those involved in the events,” the statement reads. “He is determined to be back performing very soon.”
In a tweet to disappointed fans on Thursday night, the singer wrote: “I know many of you travel considerable distances and make plans with friends and family that take a lot of effort, and it is so disappointing when things don’t go right.”
