“The In Crowd” Premiere

LOS ANGELES, Calif., July 17, 2000 — Sometimes people will do anything to get in. But is it always worth it?

Such is the question posed by “The In Crowd,” a new suspense thriller starring a young ensemble cast. The premiere was held Monday night at the Mann Bruin Theatre in the Westwood section of Los Angeles.

The story centers on beautiful Adrien (Lori Heuring), who starts a new life by working at a country club, where Brittany (Susan Ward), the leader of an elite group of wealthy students, takes her in.

But the benefits of a privileged circle prove sinister as Adrien gets more through the “in crowd” than she bargained for.

On the set, however, the cast members say the mood was anything but sinister. Joking, maybe, but not sinister.

“We all stayed at the same motel,” recalls Heuring. “I had one day off, so every single morning they slept till noon and go to work later, but of course I had to get up at the crack of dawn. So they’d always leave me something by my door, something to block it or something to step in. … I was, like, ‘thanks guys.'”

Attending the premiere were cast members Nathan Bexton, Laurie Fortier, Kim Murphy, A.J. Buckley, Ethan Erickson and Erinn Bartlett. Also on hand were “Roswell’s” Majandra Delfino, “Days of Our Lives'” Victor Webster and Kirsten Storms, “The Young & The Restless’s” Heather Tom, Beverley Mitchell (“7th Heaven”) and Ben Savage.

“In Crowd” star Ward was all aglow at the number of young Hollywood stars arriving for the premiere.

“I had the most amazing time on this movie. It was the best time of my life. I can’t say enough good things about it,” she gushed.
