[IMG:L]On the “Iris Walk,” sliding down hills and still playing Bond in 2028
He’s no Sean Connery — and doesn’t want to be.
“I would never do an impression of anybody else or try and improve on what they did. That would be pointless.”

[PAGEBREAK]
Hey, who would dare f—king around with Bond!
“It’s a Bond movie, and I think all the subtleties are there — the music, the style, they’re classically Bond. It’s just we’re f–king around with it.”

[PAGEBREAK]
Doin’ the “Iris Walk” = fear!
“That was when I was most scared — we filmed it twice. There were ideas to make it a bit more graphic, and I was just like, ‘No, no, no, no, it has to be like the old ones.’”
KEEP READING: Freefalling with Olga …
[PAGEBREAK]
Less fearful: freefalling with Olga.
“The freefall sequence was incredible because we actually went and learned how to do it. I was like, ‘I’ve never seen a good one.’ I think they’re always kind of [fake]. Then someone came up with the idea — there’s this 200-mile-per-hour vertical wind tunnel where people go and learn how to freefall; so Olga and I went and rehearsed for about a week on it, and we stuck a guy with a small camera flying around inside it, had 20 digital cameras around … it was hell, but it looks like we’re falling out of an airplane.”

Did he or didn’t he?
“I jumped out of a window — the impact is somebody else, I think, although I did do an impact. Then I do the stop, and then I jump off and climb up the thing. That’s all me.”
KEEP READING: No skiing, more women…
[PAGEBREAK]
He’s sees more women in Bond’s future, but not a lot of skiing.
“I’m not a very good skier, Jesus. I think my Bond actually slides down the hill.
KEEP READING: More Q and Moneypenny …
[PAGEBREAK]
And he wouldn’t mind a Q and Moneypenny next time around.
“I think though you offer it to the best actors you can and you say to them, ‘Forget what’s happened. Reinvent it.’”
KEEP READING: How many years as Bond? …
[PAGEBREAK]
Roger Moore did Bond for a decade; will Craig try to double that?
“I haven’t got that in me. Jesus Christ. Look, I will do them as long as I can. I can’t see beyond another movie. If they ask me back, I would be thrilled.”
