Disney announced yesterday it will release Stephen Anderson and Don Hall’s 3D “Winnie the Pooh” movie on July 15th, 2011. That means you have just over a year to go home, find your Pooh gear, and take it without your mother noticing and hide it so your roommate doesn’t find it. That is, unless you find his Pooh gear first — then you’ve got the green light for Pooh parties.)
And Winnie (and Tigger, and Eeyore, and Piglet, and Rabbit, and Owl, and Kanga and Roo, and Gopher!) will need all the support they can get, because they’ll be going up against the final “Harry Potter” installment (and we all know what those steadfast fans are capable of). Even if you’re really into Hogwarts, you can still venture over to Winnie’s corner. You kind of owe him, actually — he did most of the work to make your childhood as sweet and gooey and joyous as it was. So come July 15th, 2011, you owe him the number one spot on opening weekend. Harry can take care of himself…because he’s a wizard.
