Winter Movie Guide 2003: “A Guy Thing”

A Guy Thing

The Players: Julia Stiles, Selma Blair, Jason Lee; directed by Chris Koch (Snow Day)

The Skinny: After a wild night at his bachelor party, Paul (Lee) wakes up to find his fiancee’s beautiful cousin (Stiles) sleeping next to him. Of course, he can’t remember a thing and assumes he did what any normal, red-blooded guy would have done–and spends the rest of the film feeling terribly guilty and trying to cover up his supposed infidelity from his adoring bride-to-be (Blair).

The Bottom Line: Lee‘s recent track record has been a bit spotty of late (i.e., Big Trouble, Stealing Harvard)–and this one doesn’t sound like it’s going to take him out of that rut. But at least Tom Green isn’t in it.
