The Hunted
The Players: Tommy Lee Jones, Benicio Del Toro, Connie Nielsen, Jenna Boyd, Leslie Stefanson; directed by William Friedkin (Rules of Engagement)
The Skinny: An FBI “deep woods tracker” (Jones) and his female partner (Nielsen) lead the manhunt for a hunter of deer hunters (Del Toro)–got that?–who escapes capture and is now loose in Portland, Oregon. This assassin kills the hunters for the blood sport of it–or maybe he’s just an animal rights activist–but now the agents must get him before he gets them.
The Bottom Line: Strong cast and Friedkin also brought us The Exorcist. It’s doubtful this one will sink into typical cop-thriller fare–and it’ll probably be pretty gory.
