The couple’s second memorable kiss happens after the audience learns that Mia (Emma Stone) and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) do not stay together in the future. The film then plays back an alternate version of the scene where the two meet for the first time. Mia compliments Sebastian’s piano playing and instead of storming away this time, Sebastian seizes the moment and embraces Mia in a kiss. The audience then relives the couple’s love story before the film ends with their lives going in separate directions.

Best Hollywood movie kisses: Pitch Perfect (2012)

In the 2012 comedy Pitch Perfect, Jesse (Skylar Astin) tries to get Beca (Anna Kendrick) to fall for him throughout the movie. One night, after the two watch the ending of The Breakfast Club, they almost share a kiss during the closing scene.

Beca pushes Jesse away over the course of the movie, until the last performance. Beca arranges for the Barden Bellas to sing Simple Minds’ “Don’t You Forget About Me” (from the closing scene of The Breakfast Club) at their a cappella ICCA Finals as an apology to Jesse. He is surprised to hear the song and after the performance has concluded, Beca joins him in the audience and they finally share their first kiss.
