What is Jurassic World Dominion about?
It’s been four years since Isla Nublar was destroyed; the dinosaurs now co-exist among humans. Will humans and dinosaurs be able to continue to live in harmony, or will external forces threaten that balance? Jurassic World Dominion serves as the sixth and final installment in the Jurassic World franchise.
In the trailer, dinosaurs and humans seem to be living safely together. Unfortunately, that doesn’t last for long. As the trailer continues, the dinosaurs are wreaking havoc and danger on human life, and it’s up to Owen Grady, Claire Dearing, and their team to save the world. Will they succeed, or will humans go extinct like the dinosaurs once did?
Jurassic World Dominion movie cast
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are reprising their roles as ethologist Owen Grady and Dinosaur Protection Group Founder Claire Dearing. BD Wong, Omar Sy, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, and Daniella Pineda will also return for this final installment, joined by new cast members DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, and Campbell Scott.
For ultimate fans of the franchise, the original core 3 are making a comeback. Laura Dern will reprise her role as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcom, and Sam Neil as Dr. Alan Grant.
“I can say that it was incredible to be back together,” Laura Dern tells People. “It was an amazing thing to join my original cast members and go down memory lane, from that experience in the beginning of a franchise through the whole course of these films together with all the key cast members who have been working on these movies, as well as [director] Colin Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg, who is like family to me.”
This film is sure to give some much-needed nostalgia to all Jurassic fans around the globe. It’s a memorable way to end the franchise after 6 movies spanning almost 30 years.
When does Jurassic World Dominion come out?
Jurassic World Dominion is set to hit theaters on June 10th, 2022. In April, the film had its first premiere at CinemaCon for journalists and industry professionals.
