Emma Corrin, best known for The Crown and the upcoming Nosferatu, will take on the role of Elizabeth Bennet. Opposite them? Jack Lowden, of Slow Horses fame, as the brooding and brilliant Mr. Darcy. And in a perfect bit of casting, Olivia Colman steps in as the ever-dramatic Mrs. Bennet.
With celebrated author and screenwriter Dolly Alderton at the helm, this reimagining promises to bring a fresh perspective to the Regency-era romance—while keeping the sharp wit and social satire Austen fans love. Here’s everything we know so far about Netflix’s bold new take on Pride and Prejudice.

Pride and Prejudice Netflix Reboot: What We Know

Dolly Alderton—known for capturing the complexities of love in modern life through Everything I Know About Love, Ghosts, and Good Material—is bringing her signature voice to Pride and Prejudice. Teaming up with director Euros Lyn, Alderton shared her excitement about crafting a version that feels both timeless and newly alive for today’s audience.

Emma Corrin, long rumored for the role, will play Elizabeth Bennet and serve as executive producer. Known for The Crown, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, and Nosferatu, Corrin brings serious period drama cred to the project.

As the series remains in the early stages of development, Netflix has yet to confirm an official release date. However, anticipation is already building—and we’ll be sure to keep fans informed as soon as new details emerge.
