Actress and former Justin Bieber paramour Selena Gomez has snatched up the movie rights to Sky Is Everywhere, a YA novel from Jandy Nelson, Deadline.com reports. Gomez will develop the project though her production company, July Moon, and intends to play the lead role of a 17-year-old “bookworm and band geek” who, upon the tragic death of her extrovert older sister, “is left to take center stage and balance not one boy but two.” Which makes it sound like some sort of morbid Ugly Duckling tale with a Twilight-esque love triangle thrown in. How delightful.
