You know how the Harry Potter films basically had every great British actor and actress in is cast? I’m pretty sure someone suggested Laurence Olivier for a role at some point just because he, somehow, was the only iconic English performer that didn’t already have a part in the massive franchise.
Anyway, I’d like to see The Hunger Games become that for American actors. Even though there aren’t many adult roles in the series, it’d still be kind of awesome to have an incredibly seasoned cast supporting all these unknown kids running around. The latest thesps rumored for roles in the film are Woody Harrelson (in line to play Seneca Cane) and Stanley Tucci (no word on what role he’s running for). Awesome, right? These two might be super serious actors getting nominated for Oscars and shit like that, but they’re also really fucking funny.
And, in news that I wish I was making up, the producers are also in talks with Lenny Kravitz to make an appearance. That makes me wanna fly awaaaaaaay.
