Sh*t just got real. On the heels of officially announcing Men In Black 3D, Sony and power-producer Jerry Bruckheimer have committed to bringing Bad Boys 3 to the big screen.
The news came in as Bruckheimer started on his lengthy press tour for Prince of Persia and was asked about a third installment of the Miami-set buddy cop franchise, to which he replied: “It’s a wish and a hope and a dream. We’ve been working on a screenplay, which is excellent. It’s an idea Will gave us, so hopefully, it will come to fruition, we would love it to.”
While that isn’t exactly a definite confirmation that the film will actually get made, what we do know is that screenwriter Peter Craig has been at work on the script for some time now and Martin Lawrence has long been saying that he’s more than interested in returning as Detective Marcus Burnett. The deciding factor in when and how the film will get made rests on the schedules of franchise director Michael Bay and star Will Smith, who has more projects in development that one can count.
