Lady Gaga sings the theme song for Top Gun Maverick

While Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” is the song associated with the first Top Gun, Lady Gaga sings the theme song for this sequel, called “Hold My Hand.” Lady Gaga sends love to the world after a troublesome time in the song.

In the music video, Lady Gaga is dressed like a fighter pilot as scenes of her around a fighter jet interweave with scenes from the upcoming movie. It gives off a dramatic ‘80s flair as the video includes shots in black and white and color.

“Her song that she’d written just fell right in and became, really, the underlying score and the heartbeat of our film,” Tom Cruise said about Lady Gaga when he was on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
