We’re officially in fall mode over here at BTR. As the songs of summer beginning to fade from our memories (blurred-what? Is someone getting lucky?), we’ve traded in our summer vibes for more a more eclectic mix of jams. To reflect the mixed personalities and styles we have on our team, we had each staff member add his or her three ‘must-listen’ songs to the playlist. You’ll get Lorde and Lou Doillon, mixed with some classic Daft Punk and our current favorite, HAIM. It’s the ladies that seem to be taking over the BTR charts. Take a look (or listen) to what we’re vibing these days. Are any of these jams on your current playlist?
BTR creative editorial director Taylor has Lorde, Lou Doillon, and Solange topping off her list. Doillon’s entire album has been playing in the office, thanks to Taylor, who notes, “I’ve been listening to the whole thing on repeat for weeks now. This song is my favorite track, the subject line really hits close to home for me—breaking out on your own, and taking it day by day.” Photo editor Trish loves female voices, too. She also can’t get enough Solange, and loves a little Brit Brit.
It’s the kind of music that makes you want to grab a hairbrush and sing in the mirror.
Our social media director, Dianna, and our photographer, Tyler, are all about sister trio HAIM. You can’t help but do a little 80s dance while listening to them. It’s the kind of music that makes you want to grab a hairbrush and sing in the mirror. BTR designers Stacey and Kendrick picked some of their current indie favorites (French vibes anyone?). And writers Izabella and Christine are feeling some older Vampire Weekend and Daft Punk tunes. Enjoy!
