Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink because we’re salty crying tears of media romance fabrication! Yesterday, everyone upon everyone was talking about how Chelsea Handler was seen “canoodling” or “getting cozy” with 50 Cent at a bar in New Orleans, which only added pedophiles to the playground after Handler said during a radio interview that 50 asked her out after he was on her show. But it turns out they’re not even close to being romantically involved.
Early this morning, while you were debating to tell the school child in front of you in line at Starbucks that her shoe was untied, Handler tweeted, “Everyone, calm down. I met with Mr. Cent about a potential project. There’s nothing to report yet, I’ll let you know if there is.” So, no dice. Unless the project they’re working on together is an album for Handler, in which case it’s as big of a win as having a birthday party at a bowling alley.
So look, they’re probably friends. But it’s not like Adam and Eve fell in love with each other immediately — they probably talked about doing a record deal together, agreed New Orleans is not in as good a shape as it should be five years after the hurricane, and only made eyes at each other during MTV’s Video Music Awards when the cameras were busy capturing Kanye West’s performance and his interesting implementation of three ballerinas. So if anything, Chelsea and 50 are on exactly the right path.
